Josh Underwood, Agent
Josh loves talking with folks and helping them find insurance that’s right for them. The conversation comes naturally to him after spending more than a decade interacting with the public as sports editor and later managing editor of the Georgetown News-Graphic, a community newspaper in Georgetown, Ky./Scott County.
Prior to that, Josh graduated from Georgetown College where he also played college tennis. A Glasgow native and graduate of Glasgow High School, Josh is an active member of Glasgow Baptist Church. He is also a member and former president of the Glasgow Rotary Club and a past board member of the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce. Josh is happily married to Sabrina and delights daily in the antics of their young daughter Callie.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys catching up on his reading list, swimming at the Barren County Family YMCA and watching whatever sports event grabs his attention. He looks forward with fondness each year to local community events such as Bounty of the Barrens Farmers Market on the square in Glasgow, and outdoor concerts on the square that showcase the best of small-town life.
Debbie Rich, Office Manager and Agent
Debbie is a licensed agent and has been with Cook, Downing & Underwood since 1997. She currently serves as office manager/agent and is a ray of sunshine in assisting our customers. An Edmonton native and graduate of Metcalfe County High School, Debbie and her husband Robin have been married since 1975 and are the parents of a grown daughter.
Debbie’s hobbies include spoiling her grandchildren, Jake, Khloe and Eli, eating seafood and chocolates, and doting on her dog Harley.
Anne Grant Underwood, CFO and Agent
Anne Grant is a retired elementary school teacher. She became a licensed insurance agent in 2006 and now serves as chief financial officer/agent for Cook, Downing & Underwood. A graduate of Sullins College (Va.) and Western Kentucky University, Anne Grant is an active member of Glasgow Musicale and Glasgow Baptist Church.
Married to Buddy Underwood since 1971, they are the parents of two grown children. Anne Grant adores her three grandchildren, Anniston, Asher and Callie. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her golden retrievers, Abby and Gracie, tending to her flower garden, camping in her RV, and crocheting.
Beamer, Agency Mascot, Non-Licensed
Our original “Insurance Dog,” Beamer became a member of Cook, Downing & Underwood’s team when he was adopted in 2009. A former show dog and stud dog before he was adopted, Beamer later served as a certified therapy dog. Although now deceased, Beamer’s ability to gently greet our clients will always be remembered.
